The Revd William (Bill) Anderson is a minister of 27 years experience with active ministry in Wrexham, Loughborough, Melton Mowbray and Corby & Kettering Circuits before coming to the Birmingham District. In the last two appointments Bill was the Superintendent Minister. In these appointments Bill has developed local vision, and enabled engagement by churches in mission and ministry. He has strengths in terms of pastoral ministry and an ability to draw alongside individuals and situations, to listen and then help people to find ways forward. He has wide experience of chaplaincy to industry, education and National Health Trusts.
Bill's theology is earthed in the realities of life experiences and expressed in language that is relevant and relates to everyone. He articulates this by encouraging honest reflection and the sharing of stories as a way of engaging with the Kingdom of God and the "Our Calling" process. He is a person who recognises the need to nurture his own spirituality and his involvement in the Iona Community is important in this process.
