I don't have a word doodle for every occasion, but we could try this as we prepare to
take part in elections and think of lives journey.

Decide.

You've got to decide,
           determine which way,
           resolve the problem.
You must choose,
           select which switch,
           elect the right person,
           settle on a plan,
           judge the matter,
           rule on the subject,
                     in short,
                               'MAKE UP YOUR MIND!'

As you get up,
           what clothes to put on?
                     Which cereal to eat?

You've got to decide,
           determine which way,
           resolve the problem.
You must choose,
           select which switch,
           elect the right person,
           settle on a plan,
           judge the matter,
           rule on the subject,
                     in short,
                              'MAKE UP YOUR MIND!'

As you set out,
           which way to walk?
                     Who to go with?

You've got to decide,
           determine which way,
           resolve the problem.
You must choose,
           select which switch,
           elect the right person,
           settle on a plan,
           judge the matter,
           rule on the subject,
                     in short,
                              'MAKE UP YOUR MIND!'

As you go on,
           how will you travel?
Why are you going at all?

You've got to decide,
            determine which way,
            resolve the problem.
You must choose,
            select which switch,
            elect the right person,
            settle on a plan,
            judge the matter,
            rule on the subject,
                      in short,
                                'MAKE UP YOUR MIND!'

So, before you do,
                    'pause',
                               and think.

In a conversation about the present political state of our nation, whereas I hope that we
will soon come to a place where we will address other issues. We need to understand how
the shape both of the European Parliament and our local Council will influence the way
that we find our way through the present economic situation. There are clearly
challenges for people and communities in the West Midlands. These challenges are part
of a global - worldwide - financial picture in which we have to bear our responsibility,
make up our mind. I am aware that for me increasingly my mind is set on working out
what it means in relationship to the poorest of the world. They are the people who so
quickly vanish from view, when matters closer to home seem to demand our attention. I
know we have to build strong communities here and resolve problems in our
parliamentary systems. I understand that we have to take seriously the questions raised
for our lives by global warming, for the sake of generations to come, but in all of these
things it is the poor peoples of our world who are forgotten.

In the midst of all this my faith in God, who reveals love for the world in the life and
death and resurrection of Jesus, who is present in our lives and the world around us, the
Spirit of God at work, seek to shape us into the community of love. Simple, straight
forward and complex, but we have to make up our mind.
