Rev Anne Smith  

The Rev Anne Smith is the Superintendent of the Worcester Circuit and has pastoral responsibility for St Andrews Methodist Church in the centre of Worcester and for the Methodist Church at Norton.  Anne is a minister of 13 years experience. Brought up in the Black Country, before candidating for ministry she was a teacher in Surrey. Trained at Wesley College Bristol before serving in Elland and Ryburn., West Yorkshire and coming to the Worcester Circuit.  Anne says " My ministry comes from my love of God and of people I regard myself as a pilgrim on the Christian way, keen to share the insights I have received but also to learn from companions on the way. Worship is central to this journey and I enjoy the privilege and responsibility of leading God-centred worship in all its variety. Value highly role of pastor and thisrole permeates all my ministry, as important in chairing of meetings and participating in committees as in visiting and personal support of individuals."
Continued interests in education both in circuit work and Connexionally with the team that provides Preparation for Superintendency.
Former Birmingham Methodist District Ecumenical Officer for Worcestershire and representative at Church Leaders Meeting.

Enjoy music - participating and listening - and writing poetry and prose.
Supported in ministry by husband Jim and rest of family.
