Inner City Committee

The Inner City Committee meets 5 times a year to bring together ministers, lay workers and lay people from Inner City Churches in Birmingham and Smethwick for mutual support, consideration of matters of common interest and organising activities to bring people from Inner City Churches together. A major initiative this year has been to organise events to bring young people from Inner City Churches together with a view to taking a party to Greenbelt or Breakout. An invitation for young people to attend youth services in other circuits has also been issued. In discussion concerning larger circuits it was stressed that those from the Inner City should continue to have the opportunity of empowerment and not be excluded from participation in larger structures.
